In case I don’t get around to saying it tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope you remember only the good things about this holiday and realize that giving thanks should happen everyday. Also, wear comfortable clothes. There is nothing worse than being stuck in tight slacks or some ridiculous skirt after you’ve eaten all that food.

I gotta say, this whole NaBloPoMo deal hasn’t got me fazed in the least.

Especially with my sponsored posts to fill my time. By the way, I hope you all aren’t too confused by those. Just think of them as short commercial breaks. That’s what I do.

I just remembered I agreed to participate in a Xmas swap this year. It’s so cool. You get together a fun care package of awesome gifts and send it to a random person. Then another random person sends you one. Maybe I’ll organize one myself one of these days…ha! Add it to the list.

How is it already the 7th? I’m freaking out a little bit cuz I’m not where I want to be in terms of my Xmas knitting.

I’ve only just begun a scarf with my new yarn, when I wanted to have at least a few dishcloths under my belt.

Shit, I need to get busy.

My mother showed up at my front door this weekend not only prepared to babysit 3 kids while Jason and I slipped away on a date, but with a bag full of this. Thirty balls of it. Plus some super soft Patons yarn.

We estimated the total value to be around $300. And she paid $25 for the entire bag.

Score! Looks like it’s going to be a merry Xmas after all… :)

I promised myself I would start knitting Xmas gifts when November rolled around, and so, even though I was dead tired last night, I did.

This is one I’m planning on giving to a bunch of people. It reminds me of those kitchen floor mats we had when I was a kid. I think I got this one off Knitting Troll’s blog.

The pattern is also really easy and doesn’t require looking back at the directions every 5 seconds. Once you’ve got the first 2 rows, you’re set.

I sat on the couch watching Transformers and knitting for about a half hour before I decided I better stop before I make a really stupid mistake from exhaustion. Anyway, off to a good start.

This weekend was Boo at the Zoo. The boys dressed up in their costumes, grandma paid a visit and strangely enough, no one took any pictures of the animals.

On Sunday, Daddy, Me and Squid went to Rodeo Beach and tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to fly a kite. What else? Oh, Squid dropped his peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the sand, which (i didn’t mean to do that! sandwich, sand which) the seagulls then ate.

Halloween in 2 days! Oooooohhhhhhhhhh!*

*That’s a spooky sound.

What a rip off. One of the gourds and one pumpkin have already molded from when we bought them at the Pumpkin Patch. Shouldn’t they last, oh I don’t know, months??
