Ghetto Girl

Monday, May 5th, 2008

This is cute, huh? I just happened to be looking at the Baby Phat Jewelry section of this website ‘cuz I was trying to find those pink and silver shoes I wrote about the other day. I love that this necklace is kind of ghetto but also totally girly and cute. Anyway, I couldn’t find those shoes, but I did find all kinds of heels that are super adorable. I’m still looking for a few more pairs to bring to Seattle with me next month. Plus, there’s a sale right now. Actually, the ones I really want are 30% off. Holla! (It’s my ghetto girl coming out of hiding.)

Kicks

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Ooh, I saw the cutest Baby Phat Shoes in the Victoria’s Secret catalog (which, for some reason, I get delivered to me just about every day. I spend a lot of money there, but c’mon…I don’t need 15,000 copies). Anyway, they’re pink and silver and have that little cute cat logo on them, of course. They kind of look like high-tops, you know the old school kind - the ones with the real puffy ankle support. It would be killer if they were Velcro, but no, they’re lace-ups. Still, they’re pretty fly. I don’t know…I have so many shoes, though. My birthday is coming up, however. See how I rationalize?

Big ‘Uns

Speaking of Mariah Carey, I gotta just say…she’s got some exceptional boobs on her. I love her body because it is actually real. She’s not tiny. She’s got a round face. She’s got wide hips. Her thighs don’t look like a chicken’s. In other words, you can tell she doesn’t starve herself to look hot.

I went in to Old Navy the other day and laughed at how I used to be able to actually buy bathing suits there. But after Squid, there’s no way my boobs would fit into one of those tiny little triangle tops! For the girls out there whining like myself, there’s a better place to buy suits this summer. This site sells Full Busted Swimwear and have cup sizes up to DD and E. They also sell bottoms and tops separately, so you can mix and match to make sure you get the perfect fit.

Man Bling

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Jason’s birthday is this week and I don’t know what to get him! I have one idea. He really needs new Reefs. But it’s just such a boring gift. Maybe I’ll save the bling for Christmas. Or our anniversary. I saw these amazing Silver Cufflinks at Tateossian.com. I’ve browsed this site before. They have all these awesome designer men’s accessories. Jason isn’t big on jewelry, but he would totally dig the jewelry on this site. It’s all super classy and, as Jason would describe it, “cool-looking.”

Plus, you can choose how you want to browse the site, like by type of metal, gem-stone, color or theme. That way, you’re not digging through all the stuff you don’t like to find that stuff you do. It’s laid out in a manner that makes it easy to shop for men. ‘Cuz, c’mon, it’s already hard enough!

Oops, I Did It Again

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

OopsDeals.com is a brand new online store that features incredible prices of up to 70%-80% off normal, retail cost. Some of the categories of items offered are: Home Decor, Lamps, Picture Frames, Outdoor Garden, Floral, Rugs and Candles. But those are just a few. There are tons more. They are an overstock site that unloads truckloads of closeout products everyday. Because they buy in huge amounts, they are able to offer gigantic savings on all sorts of products you shop for on a regular basis.

Because OopsDeals is a relatively new site, they are consistently adding products, so if you’re looking for something in particular, it would be a good idea to keep checking back. They currently have around 6,000 items in their store in Arkansas, and are hoping to have everything listed online soon. If you’re decorating your house or just looking for a few cool updates, you should definitely check out OopsDeals. They have area rugs for $45, lamps and chests for under $100, and crystal clocks and picture frames for around $10. That’s just some of the stuff I zeroed in on, but there really is so much more - from everyday items like Kleenex to bigger pieces like patio furniture. We’re getting our living room painted this month, and I’m thinking about how depressed I’ll be if I have to put up the same old weathered, dusty pictures. A few new framed prints and maybe a cool mirror or some sort of wall art would be awesome. Anyway, this is the place to look. It’s all priced super low. I’m telling you. You should hurry.

Preggo?

Monday, February 25th, 2008

When I first started this blog, I talked about great places to get certain looks for moms and their babies. When you spend around half a year wearing maternity wear, you want to know how you can get back into the swing of things. That is, if you are completely clueless like I was. I didn’t wear cute maternity clothes. I wore big shirts that made me look even bigger. I wore gross, cheap pants that I hated but that I thought I had to wear because I was too big for anything normal. It was pretty bad. All I have to say is that the next time around, I’m gonna be the hot pregnant girl you see with the cute maternity jeans and boots, and cute layers and cozy knit sweaters! You’ll see… ;)

The fact of the matter is that pregnant women no longer need to wear the yucky, oversized, blousy maternity wear of yore. But you gotta get out there. You gotta check out the stores and the online sites and really keep style as well as comfort in mind. You CAN have both. I know that now. Here’s a tip: Try Due Maternity. There’s a store that opened up recently near my house that I pass all the time and think…”Oh, if only I knew!” But, again…there’s always next time!

Not On Target At Target

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Wow, I really went overboard at Target today. I just hate having to go shopping every few days. So, I just stocked up on everything that we seem to forever be taking trips to the store for - cat litter, diapers, wipes. And when you go to the grocery store (for convenience), everything is always more expensive.

I went way over my budget, but it’s a long-term investment! That’s what I keep telling myself.

It’s Super

Looking for cheap HP ink, toner cartridges, paper supplies, computer software or blank CDs? Supermediastore.com started up in 2002 and has been going strong ever since. They sell everything you need that is office-related. Operating out of Southern California (or, as you might know it…The OC ;), Super Media Store is a major reseller and wholesale of printer products, media accessories and lots more. Before you go to spend your money at an overpriced retail store, check to see if you can’t find what you need on this site first. You could end up saving lots of cash plus find things you wouldn’t/couldn’t at regular media stores.
