Gig

Jason has a gig coming up this Saturday night that, unfortunately, I won’t be able to go to. It’s okay, though, I don’t mind staying home with the baby. Occasionally we’ll get someone to watch Squid so I can go see him do his thing (he plays the drums), but it’s just not doable every time.

When he becomes a huge famous rock star, maybe I’ll start going more often…

Until then, I’ll be scanning my DVR. Oh! Also, I found this website that features independant bands. It’s a great site where you can search for unsigned bands and listen to some obscure but really great music.

There are all kinds of genres from which to search and bands ranging from solo acts to larger bands to pretty much whatever you can imagine. I think it presents a really good opportunity for bands to be heard globally on the Internet.

Whatever kind of music you’re into- whether it’s rock or jazz artists or punk or whatever - you can find something that matches your taste at Unsigned.com.

I go on there not really looking for anything in particular, which I think is a good way to find new music that appeals to you. I don’t like to limit myself to one or two genres because you never know where you might find your next favorite artist.
