Happy Birthday, Grandpa. You know what? I had to convince you I didn’t want sugar or jelly or honey or bananas or raisins in my omelet. “Plain?” You couldn’t quite wrap your head around “plain.” But when all is said and done, I would give anything to have one of your outrageous omelets today. I miss you. Always.

Okay, so I’m a child of the 80’s and yeah, I loved the Pointer Sisters. But that’s not what this post is about. It’s about the fact that I got the new Palm Centro! And…duhn, duhn, duhn, duhn…she’s pink!

Here she is! So, this is what happened. I called Jason around 2:00 today (I just happened to be driving downtown) to tell him that a certain song on the radio (”It’s A Shame About Ray”) reminded me of him (not the lyrics - since, to my knowledge it’s about a boy who discovers he’s gay - but because he put it on an early mix-CD he made for me when we were dating), and he told me he was thinking of me, too, and to stop by his work. I was there in about 5 minutes, and noticed he had a bag in his hands when he met me on the street.

Enter: my new Palm Centro!

It’s, er…she…is so cool. I’m so excited. Oh, I said that already. Well, it’s true!

I found what looks like a good recipe so I’m doin’ it up gourmet style tonight! I’ve never cooked short ribs, but bought a bunch at Costco a few weeks ago. They’ve been hanging out in my freezer just itching to get made. I hope I succeed. I love love love short ribs! Stay tuned…

Don’t even lie. This could not be cuter. No, it can’t. My bomber boy. (You can’t really tell from the picture, but he is riding on his new rocking jet plane courtesy of Target.) This was taken Christmas morning, btw. I’m late, but isn’t it worth the wait?

I just heard that a woman who I used to work with in high school passed away. She was 87 and her name was Ruthie. When I worked with her, she was in her 70s and spunky as any of the young women who worked with her. She wore gold keds and bright lipstick. We called her “Ruthless” because she could really kick some ass. She was awesome. Ruthie, you’ll be missed dearly!

I just uploaded these additional photos from the park yesterday. They’re kind of crappy since they were taken by my phone, but cute nonetheless. I especially love the one where he’s looking at his hands while playing in the sand, cuz he hates getting them dirty!
