I haven’t felt like blogging for about a week because I’ve been so damn busy. And also tired. Squid got Roseola. That lasted until Saturday. Then we had a friend’s BBQ to go to on Sunday. Monday I was playing catch up and today I started completely reorganizing my kitchen. Everything just started feeling so gross and old. I needed to revamp the look of things.

In a nutshell, that’s been my life for the past week and a half. The best part is that Squid has mastered the word “Uh-oh.” I guess this qualifies as is his first word, since he doesn’t just say it randomly, he uses it appropriately. He drops his blanky. “Uh-oh!” He spills his milk. “Uh-oh!”

Speaking of uh-oh…I have a great photo for tomorrow. I’m too tired to upload it right now…I’m lame.

Back from camping! We had so much fun and the only regret I have is not taking pictures of Squid in Lake Tahoe! Or his little, pruned, post-swim toes!

We had a bit of a rocky start. Squid fell on his mouth the first day. Lots of blood, but luckily it didn’t amount to anything major. Just a swollen bottom lip.

It’s good to be back home, though, and with all the laundry done, I’m settling back into the normal routine.

Did any of you watch Big Love on Monday?

I renewed my domain for two more years. I just remembered this afternoon that tomorrow was going to be my very last day as you da mom! So, sorry guys, but you’re stuck with me for at least another year. Although, I renewed for two years, so we’ll see how it goes. All I know is I better start getting inspired!

There are so many things I want to write about, but I feel like I’m just bitching. I feel so negative, when in fact, I think I just really like to gossip. And for some reason it’s so much fun talking about all the little annoyances of everyday life. It’s either that or show you all more pictures of my baby! Which is less painful?

Haven’t been keeping up too much with blogging because my stupid computer is screwed up and for some reason won’t load my page. Every other page, fine. But mine, forget about it. Whatever. Anyway, on a brighter note, we’re going camping. YAY! No whining dogs, no fog (beach + San Francisco + summer = FREEZING), no everything else that is annoying…NO COMPUTERS!

So, that’s it. Have fun while I’m gone. And I promise as soon as I fix this technical problem, I’ll check in more often and start visiting you all out there again. BYE!

This morning I stepped in a wet spot on the carpet. Turned out our 15 year-old pug, Buzz, couldn’t hold it and decided to piss right next to our bed…on my side. Then, on the way home from picking up my stepson from school, I was asked: “What does U-R-I-N-A-T-I-N-G spell?” I told him.

“What does that mean?”
“To go pee. Why?”
“A jackal gets the desert hedgehog to uncurl by urinating on it. Then he attacks it.”

A few hours later, back at the house, I prepared to give Squid a bath. Standing at the edge of the tub, I felt my foot get warm. And wet. Squid smiled as he peed on me and my flip-flop.

So, that’s something.

And now, top five reasons I haven’t been blogging that often.

One: I don’t have anything interesting to say…unless you want to hear about multiple pee.

Two: By the time I sit down to write, it is usually late at night and I am too tired to string together words that make any sort of sense.

Three: I forget.

Five: Internet time is spent searching for and organizing everything BIRTHDAY! (One more week until the big day!…Squid turns one next Friday!)

What is with all the Spam filling up my Inbox? Enough, already! I get it. I can have lots of Triple-X sex and I can buy really cheap Valium if ever the mood did strike. Got it. Now get the hell off my back already! Does anyone else experience this and if so, tell me how to make it stop!

I have been so incredibly uninspired to write for the past four days. And, although my brain has been spitting, “You need to blog, you need to blog!” at me, I have rejected its taunting and spent my time doing other things…like starting War and Peace (I’m not kidding!). I’ve washed my dogs (I’m serious!) and I even changed the litter box a few times (no joke!). Sometimes not writing a blog can be a great thing, it turns out. A real cool hand.

It’s nine minutes ’til midnight and I haven’t met my quota! So, I am cheating. I am writing this blog as a filler while I get the real blog ready! (Enter Wicked Witch of the West laugh here.) This way, I’ve got both today and tomorrow taken care of within a matter of minutes…oh, I’m good. Thought you got me down, Holidailies? Think again.
