Today my dad and stepmom came down to spend some time with me and Squido. It’s so cute to hear Squid actually call them by name. And by name I mean, “Goma” and “Copa.”
He’s getting so big.
Sigh.
Anyway, we had a great time. And next week, lots more family. Family everywhere you look. It’s almost time for my brother’s wedding and for our week-long vacay.
Yes…
I kind of hate Scarlett Johansson. That’s pretty harsh, but something about her just bugs me. And I don’t think she’s a good actress. Let’s just say I think she’s totally overrated in every capacity. But The Other Boleyn Girl was actually pretty good. I was surprised. She and Natalie Portman were better than expected. The film actually made me want to read the book to find out more about that whole part of history. It’s all pretty fascinating.
Little Squid is so polite. He’s always so concerned when he hears me sneeze. He runs up to me and with big eyes, asks, “Momma sick?”
I’ve actually had horrible allergies this weekend, so spent a large part of it on the couch. We did have a very successful garage sale on Saturday, however.
And a fun play date with my friend, Steph, and her two kids, Aidan and Jillian.
But Sunday - Father’s Day - was all about laying around and sleeping. I took Chlor-Trimeton and it knocked me out. I almost missed my hair appointment at 6. Luckily, I woke up a half hour before I had to be there and jumped in my car. Now I am loving my new summer cut. It’s so easy and super cute. It kind of looks like a 20’s flapper do. I’ll try to post some pics of it later on.
Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend. And Happy belated Father’s Day to the dads.
I seem to have all these ideas of things to write during the day, but when I sit down to type them out, I’m blank. I think I’m just in a rut. I’m not really sure why. It’s that whole Love My Blog/Hate My Blog thing. It’s a tough relationship sometimes. ;)
Yeah, right. But, hey, I’ll take faux fame over no fame.
One of my Flickr photos was selected to be part of their annual “Schmap California Guide.”
It’s here and it’s this one under “Berkeley Kite Festival.” I personally thought this one I took was way better, but whatever.
So, there you go. I’m a celebrity now.
