I just found a beat up old vanity on the side of the road. It’s really cute, too. It has a little oval mirror and it’s perfect for a little girl - the kind I would have loved to have when I was a kid. It’s not in too bad of shape, either. One leg is kind of falling off and it’s dirty, but I think I can get it to look really nice. Yay, project!

Last night, that is. On American Idol, of course.

I am so getting over Carly. She tries too hard with the whole rock and screeching vocals dealio.

So, now I love David. Not Archuletta. COOK! COOK! His rendition of Billy Jean was so amazing. And yeah, I voted. You better, too!

You know what’s weird…I’m always a few pounds heavier after my workout than I am when I wake up in the morning. I guess it’s just because I drink a lot of water during and after, plus my muscles are all hard and tight by the time I’m through with bootcamp. But it still sucks!

Bootcamp today was a bitch. There, I said it. We met at the Lyon St. stairs. For those of you who don’t know what those are, just imagine ten-thousand steps going up to the sky. And then think of me, dragging my ass up and down them about a hundred times. Yeah.

I think I’m gonna wear tights with leg warmers on Saturday. Not for my health. For the 80’s party we’re hosting. (By the way, Nanette and FADKOG, you guys are totally invited!) But, where do I get leg warmers? I guess I’ll hit the local thrift/costume store. I really, really, really wish I still had my Get In Shape, Girl! lavender ones! I think those came out in like 1986. Those would be perfect. Damn!

Easter was great. We had two hunts, Saturday and Sunday. Squid got lots of good loot, and he was so tired today from all the fun he had over the weekend. Me, too. Next up is our 80’s party this Saturday night. I’ve got to get the house in some sort of decent condition. I just finished cleaning the carpets, which was the biggest thing, so I’m off to a good start at least. Big week ahead of me…and another right after. Once Squid’s birthday is over, I think things will get a little bit more mellow. But, for now, I like having lots to do. Keeps me from getting lazy!

This morning my lovely man let me sleep in. He took care of the boys’ morning routine and I snored.

It felt. So. Good.

And I’m not even that sore this morning. I think my body is finally catching on. Nice.
