Poor, Silly Chris

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

I am mad that Chris won’t be one of the finalists at Fashion Week. Did you all see last night’s episode? I mean, yes, the human hair thing was weird and gross, but it totally worked when it was coming down the runway. He definitely deserves to go more than Rami. I think they chose Rami only because he seems more desperate and because after all, this IS Chris’s second chance. He would have gone home (and actually DID) a long time ago. He got to come back due to luck. So, I can see how the judges would want to choose Rami over Chris. But, still. Chris is better.

AI Recap

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

What the hell happened last night? The first girl (I don’t know her name, we just call her Steve Perry ‘cuz doesn’t she look like the lead singer of Journey?) was amazing and she just got an “okay” from the judges. Then the lamest of lame…the pseudo-country girl and the one who looks like Carly Simon…I mean, really, all the other girls SUCKED, but they got pretty good reviews! What a piece of shit episode. Lame. Lamer. And lamest.

The New Round Of Babes

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

When I was pregnant, a whole bunch of other stars were, too. Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, Katie Holmes, etc., etc.

And now, there are a whole new set of celebrity babies showing up. Not that I’m pregnant, too, but doesn’t it seem like stars all get knocked up at the same time?

I was on the Celebrity Baby Blog and I gotta say: Nicole Ritchie’s baby is very, very cute. But what about Angelina on her…5th? I mean, I guess they are happy, or seem to be, but wow. Just. Wow.

Meant To Do

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

Instead of writing up To-Do Lists, I think I’ll start a new trend. The “Meant To-Do” list.

Then it’s not like I’m failing everyday.

Kai-Goo!

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

That’s what Squido calls his new favorite cartoon (yeah, that’s right…Teletubbies is, like, so 2007), Caillou.

Every morning now it’s, “Kai-Goo!”

I really like Caillou. The scenarios/episodes make sense and have good messages and morals. I’m not a huge fan of the puppets, though, that are intermittently thrown in there. Squid doesn’t, either. He always gets a little impatient, so we end up fast-forwarding those parts. Puppets are a real big thing in our house, unless they’re Sesame Street characters like Elmo and Cookie Monster…and, well, all of those guys. Squid can handle them then. And I agree. We pretty much have the same taste in cartoons. Now I just gotta get him into Spongebob.

My Beautiful Baby(ies)

Oh, God. Is it possible to be this much in love and still be living?

sweetness

Please, someone tell me it’s normal for your heart to actually want to break?

Gaga For Greens

I’m in a salad mode. Mountains and mountains of salad. My idea of the perfect salad:

Romaine
Garbanzo beans
Kidney beans
Hard-boiled egg
Tomatoes
Shredded carrots
Blue cheese
Salad spritzer

Oh, wow, I’m hungry.

Momma Wheels

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Should we have leased our Mazda 5? Man, it’s hard to see all these crazy leasing deals in the paper much after the fact. In other words, I hate thinking I made a mistake. No matter what it relates to! I open up the Sunday paper and there it is - a new lease deal that is drawing me in. And then there are Jason’s words echoing back at me. “Maybe we should have leased. Leased. Leased. Leased.” It’s like a nightmare. Did we make the wrong move?

I love our car. But did we do the right thing? Lease vs. Buy. Is there any clear answer? On the one hand, our car is ours! And the fact that Jason got it for me for my very first Momma’s Day back when Squidie was just a little little bug makes me so happy. It’s our “family” car. It’s the car I drive my little babe around in. It means a lot.

But, okay, what about the money? I think we definitely could have saved some dough by leasing rather than buying. I’m not sure…in the end, if you do decided to buy, why lease? And I definitely know that I would want to buy and keep my very first Momma car!

ShrewdLease is an online automobile lease evaluator. If you’re looking for a Lease Tool that will help you decide whether to lease or buy, this might be it. They don’t show bias toward any certain dealers, and as far as I’m concerned, achieving valuable, fair information is the most important thing when car shopping.

So, shoulda coulda woulda…I’m happy with our decision. When it comes right down to it, we own (or will eventually own) what we love the most. We’re not the kind of people who are just “so-so” about our cars. We’re serious about our wheels. Totally (if not ridiculously) serious. Yeah, it’s sad. But it’s worth it!
