Please Save My Plants
I have two palm-looking, potted plants I bought off a guy down the street who recently moved out of the neighborhood. His instructions were to keep them inside, water every week or so and keep them out of the sun.
At Christmastime, we didn’t have enough room to keep them in, so we had them out on our porch. They started to die a little, but were still green. Then, when we got rid of the Xmas tree, we brought them in. I’ve been watering them a few times a week, only because we have had our heater running and it’s been pretty dry in here. They are next to the window, but it’s not like it’s been sunny. And they are still looking bad, worse even!
The tips of the leaves are all yellow and brown. What do I do?

Try going back to watering them only once a week. I ignore my houseplants and only water when I see a bit of wilting.

I’m with AM, I think you’ve overwatered. But then again, I can’t keep a houseplant alive to save my life.
