The new plan is to pick up a Xmas tree this Sunday.

I hope by then the weather changes. It’s kind of hard to get into the Xmas spirit when it’s 70 degrees outside…sunny, no wind and blue skies.

This sucks. I want rain and gloom! I want to not feel guilty about staying inside and drinking cocoa. When it’s like this, you can’t do those things and NOT feel like an idiot.

It’s almost over. I’ve done well with Nablopomo. It was easy. Now I just hope I win some of those prizes!

Now that The Bachelor is over, my Monday night is just that much darker.

Boo hoo.

But…Jason and I just rented a slew of Dexter DVDs. It’s a show starring David from 6 ft. Under (I don’t know his real name. Even in this new show, which is called Dexter because his character’s name is Dexter, we still keep calling him David. Der…).

Anyway, this ought to keep us busy for a while. And I’ve got to say, David made the transition from gay, L.A.-based funeral director to heterosexual Miami Beach serial killer very well.

Today Squid gets his second and final flu shot for the year. Last year I skipped out on the series of shots, but I have since changed my mind about them. I really don’t want Squid getting sick, so this preventative measure seems like it may be the best choice this season. What do you guys think? Are you for or against flu shots?

I think Squid’s second naptime is beginning to fade away. It’s still there, but guessing it’s exact hour or length is getting harder and harder. Oh, second naptime, I am going to miss you! Please stay…

Speaking of schools and schooling…I think it’s about that time that Squid and I join a playgroup. He is starting to get a little restless having to hang out with his momma everyday! Any ideas, moms? Do I search online or in the phone book? What is the best way to go about this?

Ah! Back to the routine. I had a great, emotionally draining, busy, relaxing, fun and irritating weekend.

In short, I’m glad to be back to the same-old, same-old.

It was really nice having Jason home for 4 days, but truth be told - it gets a little old after like…day 2.

Now I can go about my day to day stuff without all the extra “input” that - let’s face it - doesn’t really help.
