I know what my crutch is. It’s having a latte in my hands. It’s not even the coffee itself. It certainly can’t be, since I really don’t think caffeine “works” for me anymore.
It’s the cup! The paper cup with the handy little sleeve over it. The plastic lid and the tiny sip hole.
Is that weird!? I just feel better when I have one in my hands. If I have to go somewhere, it’s the first thing I request. Having it with me just makes the day better. It’s probably really sad to some people - sad in a pathetic way - but I can think of worse habits. And infinitely weirder security blankets.
Today my stepson’s half-brother (his mom and stepdad’s son) is coming to spend the night at our house.
It’s gonna be 4 against 1. Four boys (including Jason, cuz…really) against poor little ‘ol me.
Yay.
The big joke is that between the two families, no one seems able to produce a girl. Sean has two other brothers besides Squid - ages 3 and 4.
There really is no room for any more testosterone, so next time around…I’m just sayin’…
I have this $10 off coupon for Sur La Table. The place is way overpriced, but very cool, anyway. They have everything kitchen.
The expiration date is today and of course, I waited until the last minute to use my coupon. Now I’m trying to decide what I want from there, cuz I really don’t need anything. Having a $10 off coupon is just a trick! You can’t JUST spend $10 and call it a day.

OMG, I just caught Squid singing to “If You’re Happy And You Know It”…
He just says, “De De De” the whole way through, but he totally changes his tone when the notes change and he knows when the stops are!
This is the most exciting milestone since…
Whatever, they’re all exciting, but I just haven’t gotten to witness one in a while.
