I have no idea why I’m participating in this contest. Oh, now I remember. Because I’ll do just about anything to win a prize.

Now, the rules state it is fine to style your hair, but I’m going one step further and giving you all a picture of me sans hair AND makeup. Cuz I’m just that stupid.

How I can only hope people will remember me…

Last week our cable went out. I know…tragic, right? Truly. I’m talking real devastation. Once you have it, you really can never go back to NOT having it. Plain and simple.

Anyway, we were getting free cable for a few years without anyone ever noticing. Suddenly some guys were outside working on the lines and next thing you know…zappo. No cable for me.

We bit the bullet and called Comcast. And to celebrate our new and highly improved cable service (we get about 100 more channels now, including HBO!), we bought a new TV! Also, because our cable box is equipped with DVR, I can now record all the crap I’m always missing!

Last night, Jason and I sat around playing with our new toys, wondering how the hell we ever lived without them. Did you know there is a Soap Opera Network that runs old episodes of 90210 everyday?!? Awesome.

There’s also a bunch of kid stuff, channels with classical music and lullabies, learning shows…even one called “Sleepytime.” Why didn’t I know about this? It would have really come in handy when Squid was newly born. We watched some of it last night and while Jason and I felt our eyelids start to droop, Squid just wanted to grab the remote and chew on it.
