Because

• Because 70% of Americans oppose sending more troops to Iraq

• Because 3,017 Americans have been killed in the war since it began in 2003

• Because the war in Iraq is a war of choice, not necessity

• Because George Bush has consistently lied about Iraq’s nuclear threat to America

• Because the war in Iraq has cost us over 300 billion dollars over 4 years, money that could have insured over 200 million kids for one year, paid for 50 million children to attend Head Start for one year, provided 17 million college students with four-year scholarships, built 3 million additional housing units and hired over 6 million public school teachers for one year

• Because the leaders of Congress are smarter than the President

• Because no one recovers from the loss war brings

• Because of these reasons and more, help us stop this insanity
