Carving Out the Details
Who knew carving a pumpkin was so hard? It never used to be. Huge steak knife + triangles + half-moon smile = jack ‘o’ lantern. Right? Yeah, not so much, anymore. Here we go…the bane of my Saturday afternoon:

Looks awesome, and man you are so cute! I love your funky bangs, I’m growing mine out. Sniff, sniff.

Forget about the hard-earned pumpkin piece de resistance, I simply adore your jagged shorn bangs and Princess Leia (how do you spell that Star Wars dame’s name?) cinnamon roll hair buns. Nice ‘do, girl. I scraped up the rotten pumpkin guts from my front door steps today. Every year I carve pumpkins with the kids and bake the pumpkin seeds with a special spicy chili and curry seasoning … this year I got side tracked and never actually helped them complete their pumpkins. That’s how they got on the fast track to rotten-ville. We never actually did any more than stab them a few times and didn’t even scoop out the seeds/pumpkin guts. Well done on your artful pumpkin. It looks like a labor of love.
